Community Art Show
I’m excited to be a part of this community art show! Café Marguerite is a neighborhood hub for local art and community gatherings, and they serve breakfast all day (muy kind of place). It is always nice to find cute, amazing places like this in your own city. Opening night was delightful, with poetry and music to boot. The show is up until Aug 3rd if you want to go see it.
Crush-a-whirl
It’s that time of year again, where we gather to watch a monster truck crush a car. You know, becuase why not? This year, I will be face painting from noon to 3 inside with all the art booths and kid activities. Please join us for an event that trully does the most to keep Minneapolis weird.
Central Honors Philando Castile
Face painting at the 10th annual Central Honors Philando Castile fudnraiser! This event is a fundraiser for the Philando Castile memorial fund that gives scholarships to local high school students. I will be there from 1-5pm at the face painting booth, but there will also be games, music, and local community organizers looking to connect with the community. There’s also lots of kids activites. I will be face painting at this event for Mother’s Day. Families Against Military Madness is participating in the 2nd annual Mother’s Day event/protest in Powderhorn Park on Sunday, May 11th from 10:30am - noon. This is a kid-friendly free event.
